ABOUT ME

My name is Ryan Cheng and I'm a UI/UX Designer based in Irvine, CA. I'm always trying to improve my craft and am constantly searching for ways to use my skills to create something special.

My experience is primarily in early-stage start-up companies, which has required me to be a quick and efficient thinker and to allow myself to be flexible with the responsibilities and tasks that I’m given. This can range anywhere from helping to design marketing material while continuing the product design, or even learning enough HTML and CSS in a weekend to develop the product’s Welcome, Verification, Reset Password, and Invite emails (yes, this happened). I believe that this is my greatest strength as a designer, as I will always view challenges as just that, and never as impossible barriers.

Even outside of my professional work, design is a very central part of who I am and the things that I enjoy. I’ve developed a thorough enjoyment for things like cars, vinyl toys, and custom mechanical keyboards, all for their unique beauties and characteristics. When I’m not designing some butt-kicking screens or wiring up some banger flows, you’ll likely find me with a face full of food, tinkering away on this week’s keyboard project.
